Accountkeeper Standards
1. Onshore Work Only
All work performed for you is done by the firm you hired, by people physically located in the United States. We do not outsource or subcontract your bookkeeping, payroll, or advisory work to offshore teams or third-party labor pools. The people you meet ar the people who do the work.
2. Human Accountability & Protected AI Use
We do not send your company data into public or third-party AI systems to generate, proof, validate, or produce financial reports or recommendations. If Accountkeeper develops or licenses private AI tools that operate under our direct control, those tools will remain fully isolated from public AI systems, never use your data to train external or publicly available models, and always remain subject to final human review and accountability. Before any such private AI tool is used with your data, you will be clearly notified and must provide written consent. You remain in control. In all cases, a qualified professional owns the accuracy of the work. AI may assist; however, it never replaces human judgment on your numbers or decisions.
3. Offline Backup Protocol
Client data is backed up to a secure, offline (air-gapped) hard drive at least weekly and more frequently when material changes occur. This creates a ransomware-resistant recovery path that is not connected to the internet.
4. Transparent, Up-Front Pricing
You will always know the cost before work begins. We operate as long-term partners, not vendors looking for surprise fees or scope creep. Pricing is clear, fixed or clearly scoped, and discussed openly.
5. Proven Experience & Network Verification
Every Accountkeeper member firm has demonstrated real-world experience and meets our credentialing standards. We verify background, capabilities, and track record before any firm is accepted into the network. Member firms are tiered so you can see the level of proven expertise.
6. Absolute Confidentiality
Your financial and business information is confidential. We treat it with the same care we would our own. Access is limited to those who need it to serve you, and we enforce strict internal and contractual confidentiality obligations.
